The framework

PerformanceSpan

PerformanceSpan is the framework Chris uses across Reigate Over 50 & Strong and myHealthCoach. It is about extending the years in which you remain at or near your highest physical and mental capability, so you can keep performing well in your life as you age.

Lifespan is how long you live. PerformanceSpan is how many of those years you spend at or near your highest physical and mental capability, working, training, travelling, playing sport and handling demanding days without your body setting the limit. Four pillars carry it, and they support each other.

PerformanceSpan is Chris Deavin's shared framework. It is the same definition and the same four pillars whether you are coached face to face here in Reigate, or online through myHealthCoach.

Strength

Muscle and strength underpin capability. Progressive resistance training, coached properly, is the highest return work most people over 50 can do.

Cardiovascular Fitness

A fit heart and lungs make demanding days easier and support long term health. Built steadily, with work you can sustain around a real schedule.

Nutrition

Enough protein, enough quality food, a structure that survives work, travel and family. Practical coaching rather than restriction and rules.

Recovery

Sleep, rest, stress and the space between sessions. Recovery is where training turns into progress, and it matters more with every decade.

How strong is your PerformanceSpan?

Take the PerformanceSpan Assessment to see where you currently stand across Strength, Cardiovascular Fitness, Nutrition and Recovery, and identify which areas could have the biggest impact on your health and capability as you age. The assessment is part of Chris's shared PerformanceSpan framework, used across face to face coaching in Reigate and online coaching at myHealthCoach.

How PerformanceSpan is applied in Reigate

The framework is the same wherever Chris coaches. The delivery is what changes.

In the Reigate studio, PerformanceSpan is delivered face to face. Strength work is coached in person, cardiovascular work is set to your current fitness, nutrition is kept practical, and recovery is planned around your week rather than assumed.

The same four pillars sit behind Chris's online coaching at myHealthCoach, including the 12 Week Get Back To Health Programme, for people who are not local to Reigate.
